The Chrome Extension needs every person to sign in with their own Enginy account. If some of your team are not Enginy users yet, you create their accounts first. This page covers the full sequence.
If you already have an Enginy account and only want to install the extension, see [Enginy Chrome Extension].
Who does what
You, as admin: create an Enginy user for each person
Each team member: installs the extension from the Chrome Web Store
Each team member: signs in with their own Enginy account
Only the first step is yours. The other two happen in each person's own browser and cannot be done for them.
Step 1. Create a user for each person
Go to Admin > Teams (link to app.enginy.ai/settings/team)
Invite a new user with their work email address
Repeat for everyone who will use the extension
Each person needs their own account. They do not need admin rights, a standard User is enough. They receive an invitation to set their password, and once they have signed into Enginy at least once they can sign in to the extension.
If you have run out of user licences, contact your account manager or Enginy support before going further.
Step 2. Tell your team
Once the accounts exist, send your team a message so they know what to do. You can copy this one:
Hi, I have created an Enginy account for you. Enginy has a Chrome Extension that works directly on LinkedIn, Sales Navigator and HubSpot. It shows whether a prospect is worth contacting, whether anyone on our team has already spoken to them, and drafts an opening line you can use.
To get started:
Install it from the Chrome Web Store: link
Click the Enginy icon in your browser toolbar and sign in with your Enginy account
Open any LinkedIn profile and the panel opens on the right
Step 3. What each person does
Each team member installs the extension from the [Chrome Web Store], clicks the Enginy icon in their browser toolbar and signs in with their own Enginy account. The panel then opens on any LinkedIn profile, Sales Navigator profile or HubSpot record.
FAQ
Does every person need their own account?
Yes. The extension signs in with individual credentials, so accounts cannot be shared.
Do they need admin rights?
No. A standard User can install and use the extension.
Can I install the extension for them?
No. Each person installs it in their own browser and signs in with their own credentials.
Does the extension cost extra?
No. It is included in your plan.
What is the difference between a User and an Identity?
An Identity is a LinkedIn profile or mailbox used for sending, and it cannot sign in. Each person who will use the extension needs User credentials, but not necessarily an Identity.
I have run out of user licences.
