The connection is made through OAuth. Attio handles the sign-in and the consent, so you do not have to enter your password in Enginy.
Connecting Attio
Open Integrations in Enginy.
Go to All or Disabled.
Find Attio and turn on the switch.
In the connection window, click Connect.
Attio will open its authorization screen.
Sign in if needed and choose the right workspace.
Review the requested permissions and confirm.
Return to Enginy.
Open Configure to review Sync configuration, Field Mapping, Campaign Mapping and User Mapping.
Important: The token is tied to a single workspace. Check the workspace name before authorizing.
If the status does not change when you return
Refresh the Integrations page and open Configure again. If Attio still does not show as connected, repeat OAuth and check that your browser did not block the new tab or the return to Enginy.
Checking the connection
Before working with real data:
Open Configure.
Check that the People and Companies Attributes load.
Review the available Lists.
Save Field Mapping with Save Changes.
Import or export a single test record.
Check the result in Attio and review Activity if something fails.
Reconnecting
You need to reconnect when Attio invalidates, expires or revokes the token.
If the card shows Reconnect:
Click Reconnect.
Authorize the right workspace again.
Return to Enginy and refresh Integrations if the status does not change.
Open Configure and review Attributes, Lists and mappings.
The data you already imported or exported is not deleted during reconnection.
Changing workspace
Turn off the current connection in Enginy.
Revoke the previous authorization in Attio if it should no longer keep access.
Connect Attio again.
Select the new workspace.
Review the whole configuration before reusing it.
The two workspaces can have different Lists, Attributes and options. A mapping that is valid in one can fail in the other.
Disconnecting from Enginy
Open Integrations.
Turn off the Attio switch.
Confirm with Disable.
This deletes the credential stored by Enginy and stops new operations. It does not delete People, Companies, Entries, Notes or data already imported.
Important: Disabling Attio in Enginy does not revoke the token in Attio.
Revoking access in Attio
To withdraw access completely:
Disconnect Attio in Enginy.
Open the workspace settings in Attio.
Find Enginy among the authorized or installed applications.
Revoke its access.
The location and exact name of this section can change in Attio. If you cannot find it, ask a workspace admin for help.
If you need to cut off access immediately, revoke in Attio first and disable in Enginy afterwards.
What happens to the data
Action | Result |
Disconnect in Enginy | Enginy deletes the local connection. The token can stay authorized in Attio. |
Revoke in Attio | Attio invalidates the access. Enginy will need a new authorization. |
Reconnect | A new authorization is created. Existing records stay. |
Change workspace | You must review Lists, Attributes and mappings for the new workspace. |
