Identifiers tell Enginy how to look for an existing record in Zoho before creating a new one. Reviewing them before your first export reduces duplicates and incorrect associations.
Note: Contacts and Leads have independent matching rules. Enginy Companies correspond to Accounts in Zoho.
Opening Sync configuration
Go to Integrations.
Find Zoho and click Configure.
Open Sync configuration.
If the authorization is no longer valid, you will see Reconnect instead of Configure.
Identifying Contacts and Leads
You can use one of these options for both Contacts and Leads:
First name + Last name + Company name
LinkedIn profile URL or First name + Last name + Company name
Custom mapping
The second option lets you search by LinkedIn profile URL or by the combination of first name, last name and company.
Creating a Custom mapping
A Custom mapping lets you combine Enginy fields:
Fields in the same group are joined with AND.
Different groups are joined with OR.
For example, you can search by Professional email, or by First name, Last name and Company name.
Important: The selector may show the Select CRM field placeholder, but the options in this modal are Enginy fields.
Identifying Accounts
In Enginy, Zoho Accounts appear as Companies. The current options are:
Website
Website or company name
Custom mapping
If you choose Custom mapping, you can use fields such as Domain, Website or Company LinkedIn URL.
The Check for any domain (eg. .es, .com, .org) option is off by default. If you need to use it, test the matching with a few Accounts first and check which record Enginy finds.
Choosing Contact or Lead as the default object
Under Default object you can choose Contact or Lead.
The selected option appears by default when you open Export to CRM. You can change it for a specific export. If you have never saved a preference, Enginy uses Contact.
Configuring associations
Zoho shows these controls:
When exporting contacts, associate them with companies in Zoho
When exporting companies, associate them with contacts in Zoho
Both appear enabled by default when no saved configuration exists yet.
When exporting as a Contact, Enginy can create or update the associated Account and link it to the Contact. When exporting as a Lead, that Account relationship is not created. Company data is stored in Lead fields, such as Company or Website, according to the Field Mapping.
Saving and checking the matching
Click Save Changes.
Export a test Contact, Lead and Account separately.
Check whether Enginy updated the right record.
Check that no duplicate was created.
Confirm the association between Contact and Account.
If several records meet the same conditions, review your Zoho data and use a more specific identifier.
