Connect, reconnect, disconnect, and revoke Zoho

The connection is made through OAuth from the Integrations page. The user who completes the authorization becomes the Integration user.

Connecting Zoho

  1. Go to Integrations.

  2. Find the Zoho card.

  3. Turn on Connect API.

  4. In the Connect Zoho window, click Connect.

  5. Sign in to Zoho.

  6. Select the right organization if Zoho shows more than one.

  7. Review and accept the requested permissions.

  8. Wait for the authorization window to close and go back to Enginy.

  9. Click Configure.

  10. Review the mappings and save with Save Changes.

If the Zoho window does not open, allow pop-ups for Enginy and click Connect again.

Important: Enginy does not show its own environment selector. If Zoho shows several organizations or environments during OAuth, select Production or Developer as appropriate. The authorization is tied to that selection.

What is configured on connection

Enginy prepares initial mappings for Contacts, Leads and Accounts. It also sets:

  • Name matching for Contacts and Leads.

  • Website or company name matching for Accounts.

  • Contact as the default export object.

  • Exporting the associated Account and linking the Contact through Account_Name. The Zoho Leads flow has no equivalent Account association.

Review these values before your first export.

Reconnecting Zoho

The card can show Reconnect when Enginy detects that the authentication has expired.

  1. Click Reconnect.

  2. Sign in with the right user.

  3. Select the same organization.

  4. Review and accept the permissions.

  5. Open Configure to check that the mappings are still correct.

Reconnecting the same account should not reset the saved mappings.

If Reconnect does not appear and the connection keeps failing, disconnect and connect Zoho again. Check the organization before exporting more data.

Disconnecting Zoho from Enginy

  1. Go to Integrations.

  2. Turn off the connection toggle on the Zoho card.

  3. In the Disable Zoho dialog, click Disable.

Enginy deletes the stored credential. New operations will no longer be able to reach Zoho, and any in progress may fail.

Disconnecting does not delete Contacts, Leads, Accounts, emails, Tasks or Calls that already exist in Zoho.

Revoking access in Zoho

Disable removes the connection from Enginy, but it does not revoke the OAuth permission granted in Zoho.

To withdraw it in Zoho too:

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Open Authorized Websites.

  3. Find Enginy.

  4. Click Revoke Access.

The menu names can vary depending on the edition or region. Zoho maintains a guide to revoking application access.

The difference between Disable and Revoke Access

Action

Result

Disable in Enginy

Deletes the credential stored in Enginy

Revoke Access in Zoho

Invalidates the OAuth permission from Zoho

Doing both

Removes the connection on both sides

If you connected the wrong organization

  1. Use Disable in Enginy.

  2. Revoke the previous authorization in Zoho.

  3. Turn Connect API back on.

  4. Sign in with the right account.

  5. Select the correct organization and environment.

  6. Review Sync configuration and Field Mapping before exporting.

The IDs linked to the previous organization do not belong to the new one. Run a test with a few records before resuming your usual operations.
