Troubleshoot Pipedrive integration warnings and errors

Configuration warnings flag possible problems, but not all of them block saving. What each icon means and how to resolve common errors.

Configuration warnings flag possible problems, but not all of them block saving. Hover over the icon to read the reason and run a test with a few records.

What each icon means

Icon or state

Meaning

Blue check

The field is selected in the dropdown. It does not confirm that the types are compatible.

Yellow warning

There is a possible type or options problem. You can save the mapping, but it is worth testing.

Red circle with an x

The option is disabled. Check the tooltip for the reason.

Enginy overwrites Pipedrive

Enginy can replace the existing value during an export.

Sync with Pipedrive

Enginy keeps non-empty Pipedrive values and fills in empty ones. It does not import changes automatically.

Direction selector and mapping state

Selector de dirección y estado de un mapping

Choosing a compatible field type

Pipedrive type

Recommended use

text, varchar, email, phone

Text, email or phone

int, double, monetary

Numbers and amounts

date, datetime, time

Dates and times. Test with the specific field before a large export.

enum

One option from a list defined in Pipedrive

set

Several options defined in Pipedrive

user, org, person

References to other records, not free text

Pipedrive decides whether it accepts the value when processing the export. Your account's permissions, required fields and automations can also cause an error.

enum and set fields

enum and set fields use the options defined in Pipedrive.

When Enginy shows a selector in Fixed Fields, Manual Export Fields or Engagement Fields, choose one of the available options. Do not type a similar label or a different translation.

If a dynamic value does not match a valid option, Enginy skips that field and continues with the rest of the record. The contact or company can export correctly even though that field was not sent.

Important: If you use an AI Variable or a free-text field as the source of an options field, test every possible result. Visible labels do not automatically replace Pipedrive's internal identifiers.

Authentication has expired

If you see Pipedrive authentication expired:

  1. Open Integrations.

  2. Find Pipedrive.

  3. Click Reconnect.

  4. Sign in to the correct account.

  5. Accept the permissions again.

  6. Review the configuration before repeating the operation.

Reconnecting keeps the configuration saved in Enginy.

Company account is not open

Pipedrive can return this message when the trial has ended, payment information is missing, or the subscription is cancelled.

  1. Open the Pipedrive admin settings.

  2. Fix the billing or account status problem.

  3. Return to Enginy.

  4. Click Reconnect.

  5. Repeat the affected operation.

Reconnecting before fixing the account status usually does not resolve this error.

Fields or Owners do not appear

Check that:

  • The user who connected Pipedrive is still active.

  • That user can see Persons, Organizations, fields, Users and Activity types.

  • The permissions accepted during OAuth cover the feature.

  • The field has not been deleted or replaced in Pipedrive.

  • The Owner is active and has not been deleted.

Then use Reconnect and reopen Configure.

A duplicate was created

Review the identifiers in Sync Configuration.

For contacts, check first and last name, the associated company, the LinkedIn field mapping if you use LinkedIn profile URL, and the single pair configured if you use Custom Mapping.

If a contact has a LinkedIn URL, Enginy searches by that value. If it finds no match, it does not fall back to searching by name and company. Fix the URL or use a matching setup that fits your Pipedrive data better.

For companies, make sure Website or Domain are mapped if they are part of the identifier. If Domain matching does not return what you expect, temporarily use Website or company name or Custom Mapping and contact support.

The Person was associated with a different Organization

Pipedrive uses a single org_id for a Person's primary Organization. Exporting a new association can replace the previous one.

Review the association options before exporting again. If the current relationship must be preserved, turn off exporting the associated company for that operation.

A date does not export

Do not assume a specific format just because the field is called Date or DateTime.

  1. Check the exact field type in Pipedrive.

  2. Review the source value in Enginy.

  3. Test with a single record.

  4. If Pipedrive rejects the value, temporarily remove that mapping.

  5. Send support the field name, its type and the technical message.

The search returns no results

In Pipedrive Search:

  • Use at least two characters.

  • With Exact match, Pipedrive allows searching a single character.

  • Check the selected fields.

  • Remember that the search finds the start of words, not any fragment.

  • Verify that the OAuth user can see the records.

  • For logic with several conditions, create a saved filter in Pipedrive and use Pipedrive List.

Preview shows up to 25 records. A small sample does not mean the full import will only process those 25.

The API limit has been reached

If Pipedrive returns a rate limit error:

  • Wait before repeating the operation.

  • Avoid launching several large imports or exports at the same time.

  • Split the volume into smaller batches.

  • Review your Pipedrive account's API consumption.

Do not keep repeating an operation that keeps failing, because each attempt can consume more requests.

Reviewing the Export Report

  1. Open the export activity.

  2. Go to Export Report.

  3. Expand the affected record.

  4. Read Pipedrive's technical message.

  5. Fix the field, permission or value indicated.

  6. Repeat only the records you need.

What to send to support

Include:

  • Your Enginy workspace name.

  • The email of the user who started the operation.

  • Date, time and time zone.

  • The operation affected.

  • Approximate number of records.

  • The Pipedrive Person ID, Organization ID or link, if there is one.

  • The Enginy field name and the Pipedrive field name.

  • A full screenshot of the error.

  • The technical message from Export Report.

  • If it was a Search, the fields and the term used.

  • If it was Pipedrive List, the name of the saved filter.

Do not send passwords, access tokens, refresh tokens or OAuth application secrets.
