You can manage the Pipedrive connection from Integrations, in the CRM section. On the card, the name may appear as PipeDrive, although the rest of the configuration uses Pipedrive.
Before you start, decide which Pipedrive user and company you want to connect. That account becomes the Integration user and determines which records Enginy can see and change.
Connecting Pipedrive for the first time
Open Integrations.
Find the PipeDrive card in the CRM section.
Turn on the Connect API switch.
In the Connect Pipedrive modal, click Connect.
Complete the Pipedrive authorization in the new tab.
Check the user, the company and the requested permissions.
Finish the authorization before going back to Enginy.
Return to the original Enginy tab.
When Enginy detects the connection, it opens Pipedrive Setup automatically. If it does not open, refresh the Integrations page and click Configure.
Note: Enginy uses OAuth. You do not need to copy an API key or share your Pipedrive password.
Reviewing the initial configuration
In Pipedrive Setup you will find Sync Configuration, Field Mapping, Campaign Mapping, User Mapping, and Tasks if this feature is enabled in your workspace.
Pipedrive does not show a Permissions panel in Enginy.
On a new connection, Enginy prepares a basic mapping of first name, last name, email and phone for Contacts, and of the name for Companies. It also sets the initial identifiers and keeps the values that already exist in Pipedrive.
Before your first export:
Check the Integration user.
Review the identifiers and the associations.
Add the fields you will use for matching or exporting.
Configure Owners, Messages Mapping and Campaign Mapping if you need them.
Click Save Changes.
Confirm with Save.
Test with a few records.
Opening the configuration later
Go to Integrations.
Find PipeDrive.
Click Configure.
Make your changes.
Click Save Changes and confirm with Save.
The Save Changes button stays disabled if there are no changes or if the configuration contains an error.
Discarding changes
If you have not saved yet, click Discard and, in Unsaved changes, click Confirm.
Enginy restores the configuration that was loaded and keeps Pipedrive Setup open. If you try to close with pending changes, you will also see a confirmation.
Important: Changes made in Custom Fields can be saved immediately. Do not assume Discard will revert them. Review those fields before closing.
What Refresh does
Refresh re-checks the connection status and the stored configuration inside Enginy. It is not a guarantee that Pipedrive will reload every field, user or activity type.
If you have just created a field or changed permissions and it does not appear, reopen Pipedrive Setup. If the problem persists, reconnect the account.
Reconnecting an expired authorization
Enginy tries to renew the OAuth tokens automatically. When the authorization is no longer valid, the card replaces Configure with Reconnect and shows the notice Authentication expired. Please reconnect your account.
To reconnect:
Click Reconnect.
In Connect Pipedrive, click Connect.
Complete the Pipedrive authorization again.
Return to Enginy.
Review the Integration user and the configuration.
Save only if you make changes.
If you reconnect the same Pipedrive account, Enginy normally keeps the existing mapping.
Changing the Integration user or the company
To change the connected user:
Wait for active imports and exports to finish.
Disable the integration.
Sign in to Pipedrive with the new user.
Connect Pipedrive again.
Review permissions, fields and Owners.
Run a small test before continuing.
The new user must be able to see the records already linked. User Mapping does not widen their permissions.
Important: Do not switch company without reviewing the linked records first. Their IDs belong to the previous company and Enginy could stop finding them.
Disabling Pipedrive
Open Integrations.
Turn off the switch on the PipeDrive card.
In Disable PipeDrive, click Disable.
Enginy deletes the credentials stored for that connection. From that moment you cannot start new Pipedrive operations from Enginy.
Disabling the integration does not delete:
Persons, Organizations or Leads already created in Pipedrive.
Notes or Activities already logged.
Contacts and companies imported into Enginy.
The values already written into Pipedrive fields.
A process already running is not guaranteed to cancel immediately. Wait for imports and exports to finish before disabling the integration.
Revoking access completely
Disable removes the credential from Enginy, but it does not replace revoking access from Pipedrive.
If you also want to invalidate the access in Pipedrive, open the authorized applications settings in your account and remove Enginy. After that you will need to complete OAuth again to reconnect.
Troubleshooting
I click Connect and Pipedrive does not open
Allow pop-ups for Enginy and try again. The authorization opens in another tab.
I authorized Pipedrive, but the card still shows as disconnected
Confirm that you finished the authorization before returning. Refresh Integrations. If it stays the same, repeat the process with the same user and the same company.
The card shows Reconnect
The authorization has expired or been revoked. Click Reconnect and complete OAuth again.
You see Pipedrive account is not open
The company may have a billing, trial or subscription problem. Fix the account status in Pipedrive first, then reconnect.
Some fields or Owners do not appear
Check the Integration user's visibility and permissions. Owners must be active and not deleted. Reopen Pipedrive Setup and, if the problem persists, reconnect.
I connected the wrong company
Do not export data. Disable the integration and connect the right company. If records were already linked or exported, contact Enginy before continuing.
