Before connecting HubSpot to Enginy, make sure your account meets the following requirements. This article covers what you need on the HubSpot side — for step-by-step connection instructions, see How to Configure Your HubSpot Integration.
What Enginy will do with your Hubspot
With the granted permissions, Enginy will be able to:
Read, create, and modify contacts.
Read, create, and modify companies.
Read the field configuration of contacts, companies, and custom objects.
Read owners (needed to assign record ownership).
Trigger data exports from HubSpot.
Read your lists.
Plans and editions
Enginy does not check your HubSpot plan when connecting — you can start the process from any account. However, HubSpot may not grant some of the permissions Enginy requests if your plan does not include them.
If that happens, the connection will complete, but Enginy will automatically detect the missing permissions and notify you as "MISSING_SCOPES", so you can review your plan, reconnect, or contact support.
If you're unsure whether your HubSpot plan is compatible, contact support before connecting.
Who can authorize the connection
The person authorizing the integration must have permission in HubSpot to install OAuth applications in the account. If you're not sure whether you have those permissions, check with your company's HubSpot administrator.
User Permissions
When you authorize the integration, these scopes are granted:
Technical scope | What it allows |
Read, create, and modify contacts
Read, create, and modify companies
Read the field configuration of contacts
Read the field configuration of companies
Read the configuration of custom objects
Read owners to assign record ownership
Trigger data exports
Read lists
Authentication
Enginy connects via OAuth 2.0.
Security
The token refreshes automatically 3 minutes before expiry.
Important: removing the integration from Enginy does not revoke access on the HubSpot side. To fully disconnect, go to HubSpot Settings → Integrations → Connected Apps and revoke access there as well.
