FAQs

Q1: What is the difference between a User and an Identity?

A User is a person with login access to the Enginy platform. An Identity is a LinkedIn profile and/or email address used to send prospecting messages through campaigns. A single User can manage multiple Identities, and each Identity can have several connected email addresses.

Q2: Can I connect more than one CRM at the same time?

No. Enginy only supports one active CRM integration at a time. To switch to a different CRM, first deactivate the current one from the Enabled tab in Integrations, then activate and configure the new one.

Q3: Do I need a CRM to use Enginy?

No. Enginy works without a CRM. However, if you don't have a CRM connected, you should create a blocklist to avoid contacting existing customers, competitors, or your current pipeline.

Q4: What happens if I skip the AI Playbook setup?

The AI will still work, but with less context about your business. This results in lower-quality message generation, no ICP-based scoring for contacts and companies, no ICP Quick Filter for LinkedIn searches, and less accurate AI conversation management. Filling out the AI Playbook is highly recommended.

Q5: Do unused credits roll over to the next month?

As a general rule, unused credits do not roll over. Your credit balance resets on the 1st of each month. There may be occasional exceptions depending on your specific agreement.

Q6: Can someone without an Enginy account connect their identity?

Yes. Use the Share (Generate Link) option when adding a new identity. This generates a temporary link (valid for 24 hours, single use) that you can share with anyone. They can open it in their browser and connect their LinkedIn or fill in their details without needing access to the platform.
